The 1 Question Bitcoin “Experts” Can’t Answer

Dec 07, 2017

First, let’s get one thing out of the way: given that the price of Bitcoin has hit a new high of over $16,000, you may think I’m crazy.

Yup, by the time you finish reading these words you may think I should be locked up. Put in a straight-jacket. Kept away from society.

How My 6 Year Old Helped Me in Life – and in Business

Oct 03, 2017

One of the things that I’m truly a master at is beating myself up.

Regardless of how successful I’ve been in business, whenever I would make a mistake I’d start calling myself names like “stupid,” “idiot” and “moron.”

Now, how long I did this to myself depended on the size of the actual mistake.

A small one would usually be over by the end of the day. A large one could last months.

But two years ago my then-6 year old daughter Lila did something that literally blew my mind…and changed my life in the process.

The 3 Solution Rule to Managing Every Employee

Aug 16, 2017

One of my cardinal rules in business is what I call the “3 Solution Rule.”

I tell everyone that works for me not to come to me with any problem unless they have 3 possible solutions to that problem.

What I’ve come to learn by doing this is that the very process of coming up with 3 solutions often leads to the person coming up with the solution to the problem themselves.

2 Types of Employees that Work for You

Aug 15, 2017

In my experience there are two types of employees that will work for you – people who put stuff on your plate and people who take stuff off your plate.

The key for me used to be to give new employees assignments to learn as quickly as possible which type of person they were.

But over the years I’ve come to learn that my life and my business runs downhill instead of uphill when I focus on just attracting and keeping the ones who are good at taking stuff off my plate.

How Can I Be of Service to My Customers?

Aug 14, 2017

When I began asking myself this question the way I played the game of business changed completely.

Gone were the days when I just fought every day for money. What replaced them was a sense of purpose in my work I had never known before.

Not only did I feel good waking up to go to work every day – but as a by-product of the process I my success in business became easier.

2 Types of People in Business – Which One Are You?

Aug 13, 2017

I’ve come to believe that at the end of the day there are two types of people in business – those who say ” I Can’t” and those who say “How Can I?”

The only difference between you and the person sitting in the chair you want (i.e. your boss or competitor) is that they know how to ask themselves “How Can I?”
